Let's break the ICE

Whew… I guess this blog is nearly lifeless although I really want to make it fresher and merrier.

So I turn to my favorite, to give me some inspiration. Also to share my interests and knowledge with all of you. It’s not only for you but me also still learning in this matter, one of the worlds with endless possibilities.

It is called internal combustion engine. And this is some of the overview.

I actually have no idea where to start. But I guess it is better to tell you what the heck internal combustion engine is. The simplest words to describe it, it is a machine where you burn the fuel inside the engine that transfers energy via parts directly to, in this case your car’s (crankshaft – flywheel – clutch plate – gearbox – drive shafts – wheels) or I just simply say thing that get your cars moving.

That is the difference of Internal Combustion Engine, ICE from the old school but still giving huge contribution external combustion engine. The ECE initially need to transfers the energy generated to the water/steam to rotates the turbine or whatever it has to move.

For starter we will going to befriend the ICE closest friends, often we called their clique as engine parts. I will introduce you to reciprocating engines first as I also lack the knowledge of the rotary @ wankel engines that use rotor instead of pistons.

The basic parts of an engine consist of pistons, valves @ cams, engine block (plus the head), camshaft, connecting rod, crank shaft and spark plugs. And here is what their task is:-

Pistons

· Compressing the air-fuel vapor mixture to make it combustible when spark plugs ignites.

· Transfers the energy provided from chemical reaction (fuel burning) process to the connecting rod.

Valves @ cams

· Located at the head of the engine these parts purpose is to block or unblock the intake or exhaust passage in and out of the engine while different strokes initiated.

Engine block (plus the head)

· Locating everything an engine needed to operate while the engine’s head hold up the camshaft and cams, spark plugs and housing the passage for air-fuel mixture and exhaust gases to enters and exits the engine.

Camshaft

Camshaft is build with lobes that moves the cams upward or downward to provide closing-opening stages of cams for every stroke.

Connecting rod

Prior to its name, it connects and transmits energy from pistons to crank shaft.

Crank shaft

Transfers energy provided by pistons from the engine to the gearbox via the flywheel and clutch plate.

Spark plugs

What else these things do? Sole purpose – it ignites the fuel mixture.

I had to apologize because I may cause some confusion here because there aren’t any diagrams for you to visualize these parts. But watch this video, it is quite helpful except it doesn't provides you with the label for each parts.

1st rank team in the world…?

After the group stage of confederation cup were over, a new question began wandering around the cells of my brain. Is it really the Spanish was the best team in the world right now?

Looking at the record of 35 games unbeaten with 14 wins surely anyone would believe so but watching them play in each match, this statistics seems almost fictional and fake. Excluding the goals from superb finishes from Torres and Villa the Spanish team playing style doesn’t gave me any electrifying awe at all. I once a fan of Spanish international team and now still a fan of foolish and flamboyant Real Madrid. Of course I’d watched many of their games. What I can tell is the type of play haven’t really change since year 98 apart from those venomous strikers finishes and it can be termed as boring. Was it really because of other national teams such as Italy and Germany became so weak that the mediocre strength of Spain enough to put them on top?

Maybe my eyes and thoughts deceive me and this post’s going completely the wrong way but all these posts were based on my personal opinion and may I remind everyone all of you can be my critics at liberty at all times. So, no offense to any Spanish’s fans and I hope I was really, really incorrect…

Now...for the introduction...

This gonna be my blog that dedicated to everything I was interested in.
It will take only a few words to make entries of the list of subjects of my interests.

Subject that tops my list is video gaming. When I was a kid VGs was considered very rare
and it took months for me to play any game. The only console handed to me is the antic one, forgot the name already. And the game I best at is tetris. (still good at it). Then the memories of it fades away...

That is until a new platform emerged right in front of my eyes. This one I'd say, is the mightiest and greatest that takes me closer to VGs than ever before. It came in a form of early Compaq Pressario, own by my cousin where I met my first favorite genre, First Person Shooter. Given the name DOOM II, this game rocks my life sky high. It haunts me in my sleep and drags my life into a perfect oblivion.

Alas, my time getting short here so this post will continue another day...
